Unlike other websites both the registration AND all the dating services are totally FREE, for women and men... Forget your credit card !
The free dating services are: the creation or modification of your profile, all messages sent and received, your searches, your photos (26), your videos (26), the daily simple matching, managing your inbox, the message alerts, the motivation index, the chat...
Options are also available. They complete already existing free services : the Ultra precise Matching, the Bonus, navigating on the site without any advertisement
Simply fill in the registration form. It's free and takes effect immediately ! Your profile is instantly online and you can start communicating with other members. Only your public profile is visible to all the other members (your descrription, 1 photo and 1 video), members need your autorisation to see your private space.
1/ Once you have logged in, a small window opens : click on the link "Send a confirmation email": A confirmation email will be sent to your private email 2/ Then go to your private mailbox : in the confirmation mail please click on OK to confirm your email address... When you will have confirmed your email address, the small window inviting you to confirm your email address will no longer appear. There is no risk in confirming your email address, it simply garantees the authenticity of our members for genuine dating. You haven't received our confirmation email, please check if it isn't in your "undesired mails" or "junk emails".
> Public Profile, Private Space - Your public profile can be browsed by all our members : your descrription (town, age, hair colour...), 1 photo and 1 video. You can complete or modify you public profile at any time (see MODIFY - PHOTOS and VIDEOS). - Your Private Space : only members who have your authorisation may see this space (see "Organising your authorisations"). You can write a few words to describe yourself, add up to 25 photos and videos (see MODIFY - PHOTOS and VIDEOS) To have access to the Private Space of another member, you have to ask for their autorisation > on their profile page click on "Private Space".
An autorisation is needed to access a private space.
To ask access to the private space of a profile : Click on the profile of your choice > the profile page will open, then click on "Private Space" and after on "Ask authorisation" or "Cancel" Your request will be sent to this person who can accept or refuse. To know if your request has been accepted, you can go to "Authorisations" from the menu of your account, and then select "Your requests accepted" or "Your requests refused" in the scrolling menu
Someone wishes to see your private space : Click on "Requests pending approval", here you can choose to accept or refuse their request bgy clicng on "Accept" or "Refuse".
You will receive an email in your private mail box only if you have chosen to receive the "Profile alerts" by ticking off the alert box in your profile.
You can organise your Autorisations by clicking on Authorisations in the menu "My account" top of the page. On this page you will find :
Their requests to access your private space (pending, accepted, refused).
Your requests, when you have asked other members to have access to their private space (pending, accepted, refused).
You no longer wish to receive the autorisation requests by mail: If you no longer wish to receive the authorisation request alerts, in the menu "My account" top of the page select "Preferences" under "Modify". On the first page, deselect the Message alert checkbox : "I want to be warned by e-mail if any new messages arrive" and click on OK.
You have confirmed your email address, received your profile number and password but have difficulties logging into your profile. >> Are you sure to have entered your profile number and password correctly ? >> If so : clic on "Forgotten your password ?" on the home page of the site. Enter the email address of your profile and you will receive your login details.
>> You can modify your profile whenever you like. Log into your account, go to "My account" top of the page > choose the section you wish to modify. To modify your text, select "Private Space" Don't forget to click on OK once your have made your changes or they will not be taken into account.
Log into your account, go to "My account" top of the page and click on "Password" under the "Modify" section. Enter your profile number, your password and your new pasword. Don't forget to confirm by clicking on OK.
Go to "My account" top of the page and click on "Public Profile" : Your user name appears next to your profile number top left of the page under your photo. To change your user name, click on your user name, enter your new name and click on "Save".
Go to "My account" top of the page and click on "Preferences" under the "Modify" section. Click on your email address, enter your new address and click on "Save".
When you are on the home page, click on "Give a more precise location" in the "Come and complete your profile" section : Google Maps will open. 1 Move around the map with your mouse : drag the pointer (the little house) with your mouse, click on the town/city of your choice, your new location will automatically be saved. 2 You can zoom in or out on the map of your country by using the + and ?, you can also use the arrows to move north, south,east and west. The overview map appears in the bottom right corner of the map. It helps to orientate you by showing the location of the current map view in the context of a larger geographical area. The area currently displayed in the map is shown as a purple box in the overview map. At any time, click Hide overview button to hide the overview map or click Show overview map button to display it again. 3 To close the map, click on the cross top left of the map window.
If you no longer wish to receive any alerts, in the menu "My account" top of the page select "Preferences" under "Modify". Then deselect the Message alert checkbox : "Receving your alerts".
You can also choose the frequency of the alerts or to receive only message or request alerts : click on "Frequency of your alerts" and use the scrolling menu to choose your option.
>> Log into your account, click on "Modify" in the menu on the left and then on "Your photos". Follow the instructions to upload your photos. The first photo will appear in your Public Profile, it will have to be viewed by our moderation service before appearing online. The other 26 photos will be posted on your Private Space and will be online immediatly, they must nonetheless respect the site's charter. Be careful : the photos must be in JPG format and should not exceed 5.12Mo.
>> Log into your account, click on "Modify" in the menu on the left and then on "Your Videos". Follow the instructions to upload your videos. The first video will appear in your Public Profile, it will have to be viewed by our moderation service before appearing online. The other 26 videos will be posted on your Private Space and will be online immediatly, they must nonetheless respect the site's charter.
>> Log into your account, go to "My account" top of the page and click on "Remove profile", enter your profile number and password and then click on OK. Your profile is no longer online and members cannot send you messages or see your profile any more. It has been desactivated. After 150 days, and if you do not come back on the site, your profile will be completly removed from our data base as all the information that it contains.
Once you have deactivated your profile click on "Remove entirely"; please tell us why you are removing your profile, enter the number code in grey and click on "Remove entirely".
>> The motivation index indicates how motivated a member is ! It is updated daily. You get more points by adding elements to your profile (photos, videos...). Be careful : you lose 10 points each day you do not come on Amoureux.com !
To offer the best possible service to our members, we are very careful with the quality of the photos and videos in the public profiles : * Maybe you have not followed the instructions: the photos must be in JPG format and should not exceed 5.12Mo, your video must not exceed 5Mo or must not last more than 15 seconds. * You must be alone on the photo (no children, group photo, no celebrities, no advertising...) * Your photo may not be in accordance with our charter, any erotic, pornographic or illegal pictures will be removed immediatly.
>> If you are a member : log into your profile, select the profile you wish to write to (click on the photo or video) and then on the link "Send message" above the profile on the left. If the message : "Message impossible, your profiles do not match" appears you cannot send any messages to this member because your profiles do not match, there may be two reasons for this : either this person has chosen to receive messages from certain countries only and you do not live in one of these contries or you have chosen to communicate with people from certain countries only and this person lives in another country. >> You are not a member : you have to register first, all our dating services are totally free.
>> All your messages can be viewed in your Inbox. Log into your account, then click on "Inbox" in the menu in the middle of the page. If you have received a "Message Alert" in your private email, click on the link in your email or log into your account and click on "Inbox".
Log into your account, click on Inbox and then on "Sent messages". If you also want to see the sent messages which have been deleted, tick off the box "Deleted messages" and click on OK.
Log into your account, then click on "Inbox" in the menu in the middle of the page. If you also want to see the messages you have deleted tick off the box "Deleted messages" and click on OK.
>> You cannot write to this member because your profiles do not match, there may be two reasons for this : Either this person has chosen to receive messages from certain countries only and you do not live in one of these countries or You have chosen to communicate with people from certain countries only and this person lives in another country.
>> This message appears when a profile and all its messages have been removed from the site after complaints from our members and/or an enquiry from our moderation service.
>> Log into your profile, go on "Search" in the menu top of the page and select "Multicriteria search". Enter the profile number in the corresponding field at the bottom of the search page and click on OK.
>> To do so, log into your account, go on "Modify" in the menu top of the page and click on "Preferences" > deselect the check box next to "receiving your alerts"
>> From the matching you have received : click on the link "Modify your criteria" at the bottom of the page. >> From your account : go to "My account" and click on "Matching". Don't forget to click on OK to save your new criteria.
Thanks to this feature, you can write down a few words on each profile you have viewed. Click on the profile of your choice and then on "Create/Change memo" > type in your text, then click on "Save".
If you no longer wish to be contacted by a member, you may block him/her. To block a member who as written to you > from your Inbox, tick the checkbox on the left of the message of the person you wish to block, then click on the small STOP icon bellow all the messages and click on OK to confirm this action . To Unblock a member: Click on "Blocked" in the menu "My account", then select the profile you wish to unblock by ticking the checkbox next to that profile and the click on the bin icon, then click on OK when you are asked if you want to delete this profile from your list of blocked profile.
For a quick and easy contact, Amoureux.com offers the possibility to add your favourite profiles to your list of Friends. To add a member to your list of friends, click on the profile you wish to add, once the profile page is open, click on the link "Add this profile to your Friends" (under the heart icon). You will have an easy access to your favourite profiles in the menu in "Your friends". If other members have added you to their list of Friends, you will see their profile in "Friend of" in the menu under "My account". You can browse their profile and write to them.
This feature can help you to "break the ice", you can send a wink to show a person that you like their profile. You can also write to a member who has winked at you ;-). Winks are deleted after 10 days.
If you do not wish to communicate with people coming from all over the world, you can choose to receive messages from certain countries only. To do so, log into your account, go to "My account", click on "Preferences", and then click on "I accept messages coming from the whole world" and tick off "I would rather only receive messages from" , select up to 4 countries and don't forget to click on SAVE. BE CAREFUL : you will be able to communicate ONLY with people from the selected countries (chat, messages....), people from other countries will not be able to write to you and you will not be able to write to or chat with people from other countries.
If you no longer wish to be contacted by some members, you can block them. To block a member who has written to you : select the profile you wish to block by ticking the box next to their profile in your inbox, then click on "STOP". Then confirm by clicking on OK. From the chat : click on the option icon (like a small wheel) and then select the "no entry" sign.
You can subscribe to the Ultra Precise Matching which has more than 40 criteria. This service is available for members in the UK, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, Luxemburg, Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Spain and Italy.
You can use the link "Click here if you think this profile is a fake dating personal" under the messages you receive. Our moderation team will investigate. You can also click on "Report a problem" on a profile page.
Click on "Your visits" : you will see all the members who have browsed you profile in the last 10 days. You can use this feature to contact these members : send them a message or a wink for instance, you can also add them to your list of Friends...
You can increase your "Motivation index". You get 50 points if you have posted one or more photos, 150 points for a video and 300 points when registering.
To start a conversation in the chat room, you have to be Online. Check that your status under your profile picture or photo (top left of the page) is "online", if not click on "online".
In the menu top of the page, go on "Search" and then click on "The love chat", or click on "Chat" on the home page > You will have access to the chat room and see all the members who are connected ready to chat with you.
To send an invitation click on the speech ballons. If this person accepts your invitation, a chat window will open and a new tab will open at the bottom right of the page (click on the tab to open the chat window if it is closed). You can start chatting together.
When browsing a profile, you can invite a member to chat if the icon next to the name of this person is green, to do so, simply click on the green icon and a chat invitation will be sent.
Next to your profile picture you can see the members who are browing your profile, who have just winked at you, sent you a message or an invitation to chat: > If you drag the mouse over their user name, their photo will appear if they have one, if you click on their name you can either 'View' their profile, invite them to chat by clicking on "Chat" or accept/decline their chat invitation if they have invited you.
-Modify the language : you read and write several languages -check that you have selected all your languages in your "Preferences" in the menu "My account" > select : "I read and write" and choose your languages. You wish to contact members in the language of your choice, to do so simply click on "Change language". You will only see profiles speaking the selected language.
-Modify the age range: You can select the age range of your choice > 18/24 - 25/30 - 31/36 - 37/45 - 46/55 - 56+
-Invite several members to chat : You can invite several members at the same time in one to one chats. If one of your invitations is accepted while you are already chatting, a new tab will open bottom right. You can have many conversations at the same time, just click on the name of the person you wish to send the message to.
-End Chat : By clicking on the cross top right of the chat window you wish to end.
-Continue to browse the site without losing your chat windows : You can continue surfing around the site as usual, when you have a new message the chat tab will go red. Click, on the tab to open the chat window again.
-You know when one of your chat contacts is online when one of your chat contacts is online, a chat tab automatically opens if you did not click on the bin icon during your last conversation with this person.
-Remove a chat contact To remove a chat contact, click on the bin icon, this member will have to invite you again to appear in your chat contacts
-Block a chat contact You can block a member from the chat by clicking on the "no entry" sign.
